Tackling architectural features

The house is designed in a colonial style, featuring rectangular facades, symmetrical elements, a tiled roof, arched vaults, a cozy backyard garden, and a glass-enclosed terrace. It is constructed using masonry and wood, with tall rectangular windows fitted with shutters.

Because the design includes numerous decorative elements, such as large shuttered windows and arched vaults, the project required a high level of geometric accuracy and meticulous attention to detail from the ORIGIN team.

Point cloud vs Model

Project challenge

The main request was to present the facades as realistically as possible and to pay close attention to the interior.

In particular, the facades include numerous windows and glass terraces, which required the use of multiple window types and curtain wall systems to achieve an accurate representation. To enhance realism, the team applied materials that closely matched the actual finishes, based on reference photos of the house.

Additionally, at the client’s request, the team modeled an outdoor fireplace in the backyard.

Detailed facades

As shown in the screenshots, special attention was given to the entrance. We used decorative architectural columns and a complex door family with an arched glass element.

To enhance the realism of the facades, rainwater pipes were also modeled across the entire building.
